Janie is a former classroom teacher, current stay-at-home mom, and forever dream chaser+doer. She has taught first grade, a post graduate reading methods course, and many grade levels in between. She has authored 11 children's books that will be found in school libraries and classrooms (published 2023). Her goal is to write stories that create human-level connection, meaningful conversation, and community. Most of all, Janie hopes for all children to find JOY in reading, writing, and sharing stories because she believes it IS possible! Afterall, we are all storytellers.

Christ follower first, list-maker, wannabe green thumb, coffee lover, mostly outgoing, neat and tidy, candle burner + smeller, planner obsessed, nail painter, old soul, thrift store shopper, hiker, reluctant perfectionist, movie napper/would rather read the book, an unlikely camper, trampoline jumper, a full set of sweet teeth not one salty, the family's speller, Christmas countdowner, Bananagrams competitor, and usually away from her phone (call Jordan!).
